07-10.07.2014 - NGV 2014 Brussels

ngv2014The 5 edition of the annual event of NGVA Europe, NGV 2014, will be held on 7-10 July 2014 in the capital city of Belgium, Brussels.  The theme of this year's edition is "Drive the change: bio CNG & LNG – the green, affordable and real alternative for all transport modes". The meeting will feature an exhibition where NGV-related companies from all over the world will present and promote their latest products and services, a program with four workshops dealing with key issues to the industry and many more. 03.07.2014 - LNG Roadmap - LNG as a driving force for cross-border cooperation within the EU

The workshop "LNG Roadmap - LNG as a driving force for cross-border cooperation within the EU" will take place on3 July 2014 in Düsseldorf. The event focuses on the development of LNG as an alternative fuel for maritime navigation and heavy-duty vehicles. The workshop "LNG Roadmap" is part of the project "LNG an Rhein und Waal“. 26.06.2014 - Austrian Logistics Day

On 26 June 2014, the Austrian Logistics Day 2014 will take place at the Design Center in Linz. The event shall bring together industrial and commercial stakeholders with a special interest in logistics and supply chain solutions, being one of the most important logistics related events of the year. In a special pre-workshop, held on 25 June in the afternoon (13:30-17:15), LNG as a sustainable fuel for transportation will be elaborated with a keynote speech from Mr Manfred Seitz. In addition, the LNG Masterplan partner FHOÖ will organize a roadshow of LNG trucks available already on the vehicle market. 25.06.2014 - National LNG Platform: LNG in the Wadden Sea region and Bio-LNG

The meeting will particularly address the developments of LNG with respect to the Wadden Sea and Bio-LNG. As an alternative for marine fuel and diesel fuel for heavy road transport, theWadden Sea region considers LNG an opportunity to reconcile and balance ecological and economic interests. Items on the agenda include the potential of LNG in this region, the developments in the Eemshaven and the use of LNG to sail the Wadden Sea. 05-06.06.2014 - IEI Turkey Energy Summit 2014

The 2014 IEI Turkey Energy Summit takes place on 05-06 June 2014 in Istanbul. The summit brings together an expert panel of professional speakers from leading companies to offer their diverse views and advice on energy investment and finance. The event hosts over 30 high level speakers from the Turkish and international energy sector, addressing the key issues affecting the energy market today.

Mr Manfred Seitz, LNG Masterplan Coordinator, has confirmed his participation as speaker in this event as Turkey's LNG import terminal could be an alternative supply option for LNG small-scale supply chains in the Danube region. For more information, please refer to the event's website here.


05.06.2014 - Gasrec Open Day at DIRFT Bio-LNG Station

On 5 June 2014, Gasrec will be hosting an open day event at their Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT) Bio-LNG refuelling station. The event will be organised as a 'drop in' event between 11:00 – 14:00. DIRFT is UK’s first 'open-access' Bio-LNG filling station and the first station to be funded under a £4.9 million grant awarded to Gasrec by the European Union’s TEN-T Program in order to establish a network of five new filling stations across the UK motorway network. Offering enhanced emission reduction savings for heavy goods vehicle operators to cut fuel costs and significantly reduce pollution, this growing network of refuelling stations will also help the UK to meet its long-term carbon reduction targets in the transport sector. 01.-05.06.2014 - PIANC World Congress 2014

The U.S. Section of PIANC (World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure) will host the 33 edition of PIANC World Congress in San Francisco, California on 1-5 June 2014. This event will bring together industrial and commercial stakeholders with a special interest in ports and maritime navigation, environmental issues, dredging, inland waterway systems, global navigation issues, urban and recreational waterfronts. The LNG Masterplan Consortium will be represented at this event by Pro Danube, A3PS - Austrian Agency for Alternative Propulsion Systems and by the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.

29.04.2014 - Wärtsilä seminar in Galati, Romania

On 29 April 2014, in Galati, Romania Wärtsilä organised a dedicated seminar focusing on using LNG technologies on the Danube barging. The seminar represented a good occasion to pick up information with regard to propulsion systems for IWW, dual fuel engines, concepts for a dual fuel pusher, design of two LNG river carriers etc. More details about the seminar's program can be downloaded here. 09-10.04.2014 - LNG & CNG For Transport Forum 2014

The LNG and CNG for Transport Forum 2014, taking place on 9 - 10 of April in London will focus on using natural gas as an alternative fuel in the marine and land transport sector. The second "Transport Business Summit" takes place in Brussels, Belgium on 27 March 2014. The event brings together business leaders and decision makers to discuss how can transport contribute to Europe's goals for jobs creation and economic growth.
