14-16.10.2015 - LNG Transport Forum 2015, Valencia


lng-logoThe LNG Transport Forum 2015 will be held on 14-16 October 2015 in the Port of Valencia, Spain. The event will be an unique occasion to receive updated information on the LNG market development in Europe, new technology for vehicles and other equipment, distribution of LNG in Europe and new usage of LNG in Europe.

This year's LNG Transport Forum agenda covers issues regarding LNG applicability in emission controlled areas, LNG synergy possibilities and innovation in ports. The event will include international presentations, diversified discussion panels, exhibition areas and many networking and business development oportunities.

LNG Masterplan coordinator, Mr Manfred Seitz, was offcially invited to participate in this event and present the status of the LNG Masterplan project. Interested parties may refer to the event's website here.

13-14.10.2015 - Marine Fuel Oil - Quo Vadis?

Mariko - Maritime Competence Centre in Leer together with the German Shipowners' Association are organising on 13 and 14  of October 2015 a workshop dedicated to marine fuel oil.The workshop will consist of two separate events which will take place on 13 October in Leer and on 14 October in Hamburg.

The events will bring together professionals such as representatives of engine manufacturers, classification societies in order to discuss topics such as the first results of the IMO Correspondence Group, new fuels ("Ultra Low Sulphur Heavy Fuel Oils (ULSHFO) - composition, chemical production processes and possible operating problems as well as the usage of alternative fuels (for example LNG), etc.

12-13.10.2015 - 18th Annual Gas Conference on Gas to Liquids, London


The Gas Conference on Gas to Liquids will take place on 12-13 October 2015, in London. This year's event is sure to be one of the highlights of the industry calendar providing delegates with insightful presentations and case studies on the latest developments within the GTL industry, the logistical, financial, technological and economic challenges associated with projects, and discussions on the impact of the lower oil price on the current state of the GTL market.

08.10.2015 - LNG Strategy Symposium Inland Navigation And Ports, Strasbourg


The Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine and its partners (including LNG Masterplan project) are bringing together top representatives from politics, business and society to access the prospects of LNG as fuel and as cargo in inland waterways transport. Interactive panel discussions will help determine the next steps to take with regard to the professions's activities and the policy framework, giving fresh impetus to the introduction of LNG.

The event will take place on 8 October 2015 from 12:00 to 17:30 in Strasbourg, France. The registration will be available through the CCNR website.

Language of discussions: German, Dutch and French (no English translation is available).

05-06.10.2015 - LNG Fuel Forum, Stockholm


The LNG Fuel Forum will take place on 5-6 October 2015, in Stockholm.  This year's event will give you the chance to hear the most tipical LNG bunker fuel case studies directly from ground breaking shipowners and operators including Fjord Lines, Nordic Shipping, Viking Line and Finnish Transport Agency, to assess how international and macro-economic factors can impact local LNG as a bunker fuel price as well as to examine pricing forecasts and the strategies that can be adopted to mitigate price fluctuations.

In addition, participants will receive an update on how LNG bunker fuel developments are progressing and which purchase agreements for LNG bunker fuel will be available from GDF Suez, Bomin Linde and Klaipedos Nafta. From a port side view, participants will understand the role of European ports including Port of Gothenburg, Ports of Stockholm and Port of Dunkerque in creating LNG availability and how LNG bunkering will work in different ports.

29-30.09.2015 - Pilot class 'Competent Authority & Company Personnel' in Inland Waterway Transport, Brielle


LNG Logo colourSTC-Group is organising on 29-30 September 2015 a new pilot class intended for personnel working for waterway authorities, vessel inspectors, port authorities as well as shipping company (shore) personnel.

Within the LNG Masterplan for Rhine-Main-Danube project a competency framework regarding the training and development of personnel working with LNG has been developed within the sub-activity  dealing with Education and Training Requirements. This framework serves as a basis for lesson materials and other didactical tools to provide hands-on experience during training.

The pilot class is part of the course wchich starts with several e-learning modules to cover the basic knowledge regarding LNG. Via an online learning management system these modules can be done at a convenient time and place. Next are lessons in classrooms, followed by sessions using practical training facilities to get some hands-on experience. The course is closed by a test and an evaluation.

28-30.09.2015 - 10th Annual Global LNG Tech Summit, Barcelona


lngsummitTaking place on 28-30 September 2015 in Barcelona, the 10th annual Global LNG Tech Summit will provide attendees with the knowledge and contacts to achieve technical excellence across the complete LNG value chain.

This year’s Summit will feature a global outlook with speakers from around the world looking at import and export projects being developed in North America, Australia, East Africa and other LNG hotbeds. Dedicated sessions will introduce the offshore LNG stream which will take a special focus on floating LNG projects and technologies. A strong focus will be put on LNG project construction and execution with a particular look at modular construction and as well as on LNG plant optimisation & project cost reduction.

23-24.09.2015 - 5th Annual LNG Global Congress, London


lngcongressThis year's event will take place on 23-24 September 2015 and will focus on key LNG growth areas, giving participants the opportunity to learn from latest projects, engineering and service experiences that can reduce costs and increase supply chain efficiency.

Key highlights from this year's programme will include topics such as the future of LNG in Europe in the context of new oil economics and choice over other commodities, prospects of US supply to Europe and balancing the LNG demand and supply, growing demand for FLNG and FSRUs and project update from Klaipedos Nafta. Dedicated sessions will focus on new growth markets of the Baltics, Mediterranean and Africa as well as on European buyer's perspective in order to assess the likely European procurement volumes of LNG in the short term and long term.

08-10.09.2015 - Pilot Course LNG Terminal, Ruse


LNG Logo colourCERONAV will organize on 8-10 September 2015 the pilot course focusing on personnel involved in terminal operations. The course will take place in Ruse, Bulgaria. This course will be carried out in close cooperation with Bulmarket DM, partener in the project sub-activity dealing with education and training. This course is the last one in a series of four courses which CERONAV organised within the LNG Masterplan project. 07-11.09.2015 - 7th International PIANC - SMART Rivers Conference, Buenos Aires


smartriversOn 7-11 September 2015, the 7th SMART Rivers Conference takes place in Buenos Aires, Argentina. SMART Rivers Conference is a biennal forum bringing together those involved in river transport from both developing and developed countries in the world. It started as an initiative of major international organizations in the field of Inland Water Transport to promote transport by barge, and the first conference was held in 2005 in Pittsburgh.

The LNG Masterplan project will be represented by Pro Danube. Mr Manfred Seitz, project coordinator, will held a presentation on the project's main results.
